Know Your Application Status

In the Admissions Office we understand a student’s anticipation regarding their admissions decision. We also realize that you may worry if all of your required documents have been received in our office and want to verify with an Admissions Counselor. However you can imagine that we receive numerous amounts of emails and documents on a daily basis, and unfortunately we cannot personally notify each applicant to let them know that their documents have been received.

For this reason, there is a website available for applicants to check the status of their application. That website is http://www.uic.edu/depts/oar/grad/check_status_grad.html. Students who apply to our programs have the ability to log onto this website, using the ID and password created during the online application process. If you submitted a paper application, use the Login ID and PIN you received in the application acknowledgment letter. Once you are logged onto the website you may view any documents that we may be requesting to complete your application, see what documents that we have received up to that point, and even your admissions decision once it has been made.

The great thing about being able to check your status online is that you can track updates to the status of your application as documents and decisions are processed. More importantly, this enables you to become aware about your status without having to contact Admissions. So no more anxiously waiting to get a response about your application, and say goodbye to making long distance phone calls to directly ask a counselor about your status. You can go to http://www.uic.edu/depts/oar/grad/check_status_grad.html and learn your status today.
