I have been "recommended for admission." What does this mean?
While your academic department cannot officially admit you to the university, they can recommend you for admission. This just means that the department is making a recommendation to the Graduate College that you be admitted. Your admission must then be approved by the Graduate College before a decision can be placed on your file.*
Following your recommendation, you can expect to be notified of your decision within a few weeks via postal mail. Keep in mind it can take longer during peak processing times.
Thank you for your patience!
*Only applies to programs that fall under the Graduate College
